By grade
What changes from grade to grade
Grade 1
The smallest group, with a helper beside each table. Homework starts with reading the directions together, and projects are built in pairs.
Grades 2 and 3
Children settle into the routine on their own. The helper moves between tables, and the STEM project has a harder version for children who finish early.
Grades 4 and 5
Longer homework stretches, and projects that last across the week. Older children help set out and put away supplies.
