Family policies

What families ask before the first day, answered plainly.

Photos of your child

We ask your written permission before we share any photo of your child, on this site, in newsletters or on social media, and you can change your answer at any time. We never put a child's name with a photo, and the photos on this site are examples until we replace them with our own.

Drop-off and pickup

Staff greet each child at the hall's side door and check them in on the sheet at the front table. At pickup a child leaves only with an adult on your authorized list, and we ask for photo identification from anyone we haven't met. If the plan changes during the day, call or text us before 2:30 p.m. and we will update the list.

Late pickup

We close at 6:30 p.m. If you are running late, call or text and a staff member stays with your child. A late pickup is noted in your file, and the terms for it come with your registration. If it happens often, Funmi will call you to talk it through.

When to keep your child home

A child with a fever, vomiting or a contagious rash stays home until they have been well for a full day. If a child becomes ill here, we call the first adult on your list and a staff member stays with the child until you arrive.

Meals, snacks and allergies

A simple snack opens every afternoon, such as fruit, cheese and crackers or yogurt, with water. Tell us about allergies when you visit; we ask privately once you enroll.

Closures for weather and holidays

Closed-day care on days when schools are closed is booked ahead and billed separately. On early-dismissal days we open at dismissal. Weather closings go out by text that morning.

Screens and phones

Children do not use phones or tablets in the afternoon. A phone stays switched off in the backpack, and if you need to reach your child, call the front table and we will bring them to the phone.

Leaving the program

We ask for two weeks' written notice before a child leaves or changes days. Tell us on the contact form or at the front table.

Still have a question?

Ask us at the front table, by phone or through the contact form.
